Butter Crisps

So simple, but oh so crumbly and good - the perfect butter cookie. A very fragile cookie. 

Preheat oven to 325. 

  • 1 pound butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • Chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugar. Mix in flour and cornstarch. 

Chill dough 4 hours or overnight.

Roll into 1 inch balls. Flatten with fork (dip fork in water to keep dough from sticking). 

Bake at 325 for 20 minutes. They should be a very, very light colored cookie. Edges should not brown. 

Cool completely. 

Melt chocolate chips and drizzle on top.
