Caramel Kissed Chocolate Crackles

'Nuff said. Eat em by the dozen. 



Preheat oven to 350. 

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups semisweet choc chips
  • 1.75 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional - I omit)
  • Sugar
  • 50 caramel kisses

Melt chocolate chips.

Beat butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs, vanilla, melted chocolate. Beat in flour, cocoa, baking powder & salt. Add nuts if using. Cover and chill for an hour. 

Roll dough in small balls, then roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 14 min. 

Immediately upon taking tray from oven press caramel kiss into cookie. Make sure to wait a few seconds, and then press down again. You want to make sure they stick well.
