Chinese Almond Cookies

Chinese Almond Cookies



Preheat oven to 350.

Mix:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
Cut in:
  • 1 cup shortening
Add:
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Almond extract

Knead dough until it is pliable. (Add 1 Tbsp water, if needed). Make balls the size of marbles. Press down with back of spoon and top with Almond slivers or 1/2 Almond. 

Bake 350 - 20 minutes
